Meet the Artist
Seek your freedom… unearth the beauty.
Environmentalist with the soul of an artist.
It all began with a small town in a beautiful area. Maybe it was the endless hiking options. Maybe it was the charming lake I was lucky enough to call my home base. I know that this area has inevitably inspired my art and environmentalism. I grew up in the town of Bolton Landing, NY, surrounded by Adirondack beauty. It was there I fell madly in love with the mountains, forests, waters, and creatures that share the same home. My musical family had a huge influence in my love for art, and I recognized that nature always found its way into my work.
My passion for the environment drove me to study Environmental Biology at SUNY ESF, where I learned about local plants and animals and how every living thing on this planet is connected. Each and every one of us has an impact on our surrounding environment. When we realize that what we do makes a difference, we have the power to decide what kind of difference we want to make.
Since graduating, I’ve followed my environmental activist identity by working for the Nevada Conservation Corps on a crew to help restore lands devastated by wildfires. After that I returned to the Adirondacks to lead dive crews in the fight against invasive plant species that threaten local lakes. Though this is extremely important work and I loved these experiences, I found that a huge part of myself was being ignored. My artist soul was just screaming to be heard. All I had to do was listen…
I began painting. Painting for myself, painting to inspire others to discover the same connection to nature I have felt since I was a child, painting for anyone who would listen. I have my hometown community to thank for their continued support in my small business that I have slowly begun to build.
