Mixed Media Original Painting on stretched canvas - Varnished and ready to hang!
I have fallen in love with the mixed media process, painting thin to thick. I start out with acrylic and alcohol inks accompanied by spray paint to portray a more abstract background. After the first layer dries, I go in with acrylic markers to outline the shapes of my subjects. Then I use acrylic paint to capture the shadows and highlights, making sure the right values are put in place. I finish with oils to sharpen up the details and enhance the richness of the colors.
I hope this painting speaks to you and brings out your wild. When the secretive, graceful jaguar enters your life, it is time to make way for change and embrace the power of the unknown.
